Arcola High School

Built for the 1922-1923 school year for $62,109.25 to consolidate the Lake township one room school houses. The first graduating class consisted of two students. Arcola’s last year of high school service was in 1968. From then till even now Arcola has been used for an elementary school. The building was renovated in 1998 to continue its long life of service. The main goal of that project being to preserve the integrity of the existing building. Although the school’s mascot has changed from the Aces to the Eagles the spirit of the school remains.
